Camping at Linville Falls // 2018
This might be a picture overload and we definitely ate too many s'mores on this trip, but we had so much fun exploring with our pups. This was Eric's first time camping and it was the best showing him how to pitch a tent and watching him build our fire. Maci and Moose both love playing outside more than anything so they were living the dream for the couple days we spent in the mountains. After wandering around close to our campsite we spent the night stuffing our faces with hot dogs and s'mores around the fire. Then we played games in our tent until we just couldn't stay up a minute longer. Our plans were to hit the ground running early the next morning, but of course plans never go as they are supposed to. After we left our campsite we headed to the local general store for coffee. On our way to the hiking trails it started raining and we got a little lost, but it worked out so wonderfully. We came across the cutest little crystal store and I bought a few new little rock babes. Once we got to the trails it had stopped raining and it was time for lunch. The river ran right next to the parking lot so we made some sandwiches while the pups played in the water, but of course we hopped in the water with them as soon as we finished eating. We had so much fun playing in the water by the time we were done I think we all would have been satisfied if playing in the river was all we got to do. We did all the trails to see the waterfall from multiple perspectives. Our favorite by far was the hike to the bottom of the falls even though it was definitely the hardest. Eric climbed until he was right next to the falls while I played with the dogs.
